Really good for the CNC beginner...
I am new to CNC .The machine comes with software package (MACH3 & CNC). This book is perfect for a new user. It goes through the process of design and creating toolpaths in a clear, stepwise manner. If you like to tinker.
The CNC mechanism is good, well built and holds tolerances well. Be prepared to replace the motion control board. Mine came with a blank CD that was supposed to have software on it, CD wasn't even initialized. I emailed for support and the response was all the software and install instructions are on the CD. I've replaced my motion controller with a TinyG and it works very well for PCB cutting. I use Sprintlayout 6 for quick PCB layout, Flatcam for processing and UGS or Chillipeppr for control. The boards in can produce are very good, I'm working on re-cutting solder pads after masking paint.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Quality product.
I had been looking to try a CNC machine for sometime but was always hesitant about these cheap machines when other home machines were always around the $1000 mark. Robust aluminum frame, spindle can cut aluminum 1.65mm thickness with end mill 3 mm dia. 50 mm feedrate @5000 rpm. For beginners, just do your research before. Instructions are limited, but a fun assembly, think Ikea here. Fairly sturdy. Good software came with it. Very useful tool!
It has a sturdy frame and seems well built and performed flawlessly. This kit was easy to assemble, and requires that you have a computer that will read a small CD with the included software. Using LinuxCNC to drive the machine and Inkscape for design. It also comes with engraving bits. Oh, and best of all, the spindle comes with the ER11 collet holder already on it. Not fully functional without additional purchase.
The hardware is exactly as advertised and the fit & finish were great. There are no instructions for assembly but it was very intuitive and took about 45 minutes. The software that comes with this is a demo version. It limits use to 25 lines (not much) and you must purchase a license in order to exceed 25 lines ($69 Euro as of now). Other free software does not work with this machine. Once the price of the additional software license is accounted for, the value of this goes down.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Very useful tool!
This is a very nice well built machine ,not to hard to assemble. There is soft ware with the machine and detailed instruction is very helpful.It opened me up to a whole new creative area in my wood shop. I'm now engraving and carving multiple differnt items and I'm constantly coming up with new ideas to throw at it. The hardest part was convincing my wife to let me buy it after I showed her what it could do I mentioned wanting a engraver and without hesitation she let me get that too.
