Does not fit SR-5 models
I bought this antenna that claimed to be a factory replacement for a 1989 TOYOTA COROLLA etc. However, I own a 1989 TOYOTA COROLLA SR-5, which is the 2 door sport model. This antenna did not fit correctly. Lucky for me, cosmetics are not a priority on this particular vehicle and a couple sheet metal screws and some silicone later and it's good as new and my radio works great again. THE ANTENNA LOOKS LIKE OEM,BUT EVEN SO TO IN STALL SEEMS TO DIFFICULT; COULD NOT SEE HOW TO DO IT.IT IS THE ATTENNA NOT THE ISSUE IT IS THE WAY TOYOTA MADE IT.I WAS NOT EXTENDING THE ATTENNA OUT FAR ENOUGH IT ACTUALLY WORKS WELL,AFTER ALL I DID NOT NEED ONE. MY FAULT THE COMPANY DID A GOOD JOB, I WILL SAVE IT FOR POSSIBLE FUTURE USE.THANKS

Replacement antenna is the correct size and model but factory installation was too much to handle.
The antenna was the perfect OEM replacement but, through absolutely no fault to the seller, the installation of it is so brutal and time consuming, my mechanic friend who was helping me install it in a 1998 Toyota Corolla LE simply cut the antenna cord on the old unit (only the top metal antenna had fallen off) and spliced in this new one ... it fit perfectly on the exterior frame arm above the driver's side window ... but you would have to remove the entire dash cover just get the cabling connection through all the nooks and crannies to the back of the standard radio embedded in the dash. cost was very good but the installation sticks. Fit exactly as OEM. extension cable added makes it easier. Remember before you pull the old wire out draw a string through so you just tie and pull the new cable through!
