I got notice from eBay that the item was delivered, so I checked my front porch...nothing found, checked my driveway, and sure enough the lazy FedEx delivery person had put the package in our rock garden, next to the driveway, where everyone could see it...Not good!

    Nice general purpose CPU, for lightweight workloads, HD media, and mid-range gaming

    Bought this to throw together a quick Low Profile Home Theater PC for my living room to replace my old Core2Duo tower, and to fit everything on a shelf. Already had an old LP case, SSD, and 270W power supply. Bought this CPU used off Ebay, which is about 20~30% less than buying retail; as well as an microATX motherboard and an 8GB stick of RAM, for a total extra cost of 140 bucks. Didn't need a low profile GPU, because this has Intel Graphics built in, enough to do anything I expect from a living room PC, like watch HD movies, or play things like Skyrim at decent settings. I am using an old Intel stock cooler for the Pentium D, which is almost identical to, but slightly heavier than the i3 stock cooler. This processor has very low power consumption for a non-mobile CPU, so there is room ...

    Great low wattage performer!

    Runs cool with the Silverstone NT07-115X I'm using. Doesn't go over 55 degrees Celsius while running Prime 95. I'm using it with a GTX 750 Ti, powering both off a 160w picopsu, and everything runs great!
