    Arrived in 4 days ARO. THIS IS A GRAVITY SIPHON PUMP! The source must be higher than the output for it to work!!! The instructions would be good IF THE PUMP WAS MARKED WITH THE ARROW THEY REFERENCE (IT ISN'T)! The valve is handy to close and purge out air to start the siphon and to stop the flow when needed. A Check Valve in the inlet line would have made it a true "transfer pump" where the user can increase the rate by squeezing the bulb. Better than a turkey baster ,,,but not by much,

    Pump is basically a tube with a valve that you have to manually turn on/off while pumping to start the flow. Once the flow starts, it's ok, if the flow is downward. It would be very inconvenient to pump upward. The red cover on the valve handle got lose and fell off somewhere. I hope it didn't fall into the gas tank. This pump works on gasoline but might have a harder time on the much thicker oil. No complaint on seller. Shipping was as promised.
