The lenses are employed with Digitally Integrated II design which is intended for digital SLR cameras with smaller-size image sensors. This feature makes the Tamron camera lens for Canon effectively handle pronounced reflections. Furthermore, the Tamron SP AF11 Di-II LD Aspherical IF uses Extra Refractive Index glass to optimize and enhance the optical power. The inclusion of both one low and one high dispersion elements as well as two hybrid aspherical elements helps in maintaining the imaging performance of the 18 mm f/4.5-5.6 lens. As distortions are well-controlled and chromatic aberrations are reduced to an absolute minimum, this Tamron camera lens for Canon is capable to achieve superb optical quality within the entire zoom range. It also provides well-balanced contrast and color renditions. For built and handling, the 18 mm f/4.5-5.6 lens is lightweight, weighing in at a mere 355 g, with a filter thread measuring at 77 mm.     Great lens at a good price

    This is the 3rd Tamron lens in my bag. I enjoy their durable construction and smooth focus. OK they do weigh a lot, but the QUALITY of the metal constuction is worth it. The autofocus is fast and accurate. There is vignetting below 15 mm with the supplied lens hood, but without it, none occurs all the way down to 11 mm. I bought the lens to follow the remodeling of my house. I have noticed very little distortion in the low range. The lens responds OK to low light levels, but at this price, I will accept the trade-off.

    Quality Wide Angle at an affordable price!

    I bought this Tamron lens for taking pictures of landscapes and architecture. I paid a little over 300.00 dollars for it and it was money well spent. There is very little distortion and it takes super sharp pictures on my D90. A good lens for the money. Highly recommended for landscape and architecture pictures.

    Tamron 11-18 mm lens for Canon 50D

    I Love the Tamron 11-14 lens I bought. It fit my needs perfectly. We use it for guest table shots at wedding receptions and close up shots for web sales photos Ebay is the only way to go when we want a good deal ao great products. Thanks, Special Memories Photography

    Sharper than expected

    I tried out the Tokina 12-24mm f4 II first but found that my sample had a bad right edge at 12mm. I also hoped it would have a wider field of view. This Tamron 11-18 has no soft edges even wide open and the image is noticable wider than Tokina. Matched with my 17-85mm and 100-300mm L lenses, I can shoot every subject with complete confidence.
