This is exactly as described! But it arrived broken. The seller packaged it very well and shipped very quickly. It was the carrier that broke it. Once I notified the seller, they immediately offered a refund since another product was not available. I would highly recommend this seller!

SO GOOD IT'S WORTH BUYING TWO

This new version is better than the 50 year old one it replaced. On the old version the "primer ram" was held in place by a set screw which made it easy to change between large and small "rams".. However, the old arm had very thin sections on either side of the "ram" and the set screw tension caused it to crack. The new "ram" version is threaded so I don't think the thin section will have as much pressure on it. Unfortunately it makes the "rams" harder to change. So, I brought a second primer arm and keep the two "ram" sizes installed in an arm. I find it much easier to change out the arm with the "ram" than to change the "ram" in the arm. It also makes it easier to torque the "ram" thread sufficiently so it does not loosen in use.

Works, but not sturdy enough for long lasting purposes

I feel this part that RCBS makes could have had screw threads that are more course than what is on the current part. I have used this press for a number of years and this part has failed twice. The stem that goes into the arm that holds the primer fatigues and either breaks or bends. It doesn't take much to get the stem off of center and then it puts the primers in the hole on an angle and will cause the primer to bind against the recoil shield.

  • Perfect replacement parts.

No problem installing this part on my old RCBS Reloader Special model press; which is approximately 40 years old. That speaks of manufacturing tolerances kept the same over a decent stretch of time. I expect this replacement part to outlast me as I'm in the verge of 57 and it only wore out after 40 years of use.

  • TCBS primer arm works on old Pacific reloading press

I use RCBS products because they "work". I was very pleased when I found that an RCBS primer arm fits the rusty old Pacific reloading press that I picked up at an estate sale like it was made for it. (Apparently Pacific was bought out by Hornady several decades ago, so parts for the Pacific press can be a problem to locate.) I read online that the RCBS primer arm has a stronger return spring than the original Pacific primer arm. The same post noted that the RCBS primer arm can be easily converted fro large primers to small primers (by simply using a paperclip as a tool). I can confirm that the RCBS primer arm fits the Pacific reloading press. I am gifting the Pacific reloading press with its new RCBS primer arm to my brother, who hasn't reloaded ammo in close to 50 years. Sometimes ...

  • primer accessory arm saves your forearms and wrists

I really recommend this over the handheld primer press. After about 60 rounds with the handheld you want to swear off reloading as its so tiring on the forearm to squeeze and squeeze and squeeze. With the loading press primer tool, all you do is put the case in the holder, swing the primer tool into the ram and pull it down to seat the primer. Since its nowhere near the magazine, there is no chance of setting off all the primers. This accessory really makes reloading a breeze and very quick even if you insist on getting everything exactly like the round before it.
