At a first glance I did not realize that the radio slides into the compartment first. The cover pushes it in and holds in place. In the old days the radio sleeve attached to the trim to hold in place. Now I did not even use the sleeve. I am also not able to use the finish trim that the Alpine came with and thought that I should be able to especially since there is so much room on the sides.
