    After a slight delay, Probably Postal issues, I finally received this Wire Bender Jig. It is "NEW" and looks like it will be just the ticket for making Steelhead Lures. It is of Cast Metal, seems to be heavy enough to do most jobs. I haven't tried it out as yet, but it should be fine. Happy!

    Handy Dandy Wire Jig

    Even though this is a low budget aluminum jig it performs very well. It can be mounted to the side of a work bench or shop stud for easy access. All jigs require a little practice to dial-in your preferred wire stock. This jig handles brass, copper and steel wire easily. I use this for bending steel wire into sway bar set-ups for RC models This is definitely worth the low cost. And if it does wear out early you can always up-cycle the piece of aluminum into something else or simply recycle it altogether. But that's a whole new topic.

    Better than expected

    I wasn’t sure what to expect. The base is made of some steal, and it is cast instead of milled. Then, it is powder coated or some such process. So it seems like good durability for what it is designed for. The pegs are hardened steel, bot don’t fit snuggly in the holes; they were not drilled after the paint/powder coating process, but before, so there is a bit of play in the pegs. It worked fine for my purposes, though. That would be my only complaint.

    Great Little Tool

    I have many bird feeders and use this tool for the hooks to hang them. It makes perfectly shaped and any size hooks. Also a lot of fun making them.
