I purchased this filter because I needed to upgrade . my fish tank is 120 gallon and needs a stronger filter. .It works quietly and efficiently . You can also adjust the flow on it which is great. I have just set it up and I am impressed .I do agree with the reviews that I have read before purchasing that the quality of the plastic makes it more sensitive . You need to be very careful when handling it during set up because you do not want to break the starter handle or any of the other plastic closures for that matter. But if you know this and are aware of it in advance during setup then you will be successful with setting up. Buy the 3E instead
My Eheim Professional 3E died,replaced it with this canister. It does not hold as much filtering material nor does it pump water through as fast. Strongly recommend an E product so you can have electronic monitoring of flow rates. Not worth the cost savings and is, IMO, a definite step in the wrong direction.
