Ive plaid a lot of air simulator games like Ace Combat, so when i first heard of Drop-ship, i was intrigued. You never really get to play a support craft role in most games, nor do you get the chance of switching roles between an aircraft and the occasional truck you deploy. The game play is great, the controls are easy and handle well, and the story is amazing and in depth, and every mission is on massive maps. In fact, so massive that every chapter remains in one map, changing locations within that in separate battle zones. I bought this game because it seemed interested, and having watched it on You-tube, i was dying to have it. Sadly no store around was selling one, so when i saw it here, i pounced on it.
I like PS2 platform games because there are so many choices! Dropship is a good balance of flyer and/or shooter gaming skills to add to any collection...it is a little hard to get the controls down at first, but after some practice it becomes routine! I purchase most games to collect as well as play! Fast action play from the time you push the start button...also captivatingly challenging!
This game was a little challenging to get the hang of, but once I did, the scenery and game play were very interesting.
I PURCHASED THIS GAME FOR MY FIANCE AND HE DIDN'T LIKE IT AT ALL. IT WAS DIFFICULT TO FIGURE OUT AND WASN'T INTENSE ENOUGH FOR HIS TASTE. I WOULD HOWEVER RECOMMEND IT FOR A YOUNGER PERSON, MAYBE EARLY TEEN, BUT I COULDN'T RECOMMEND IT FOR AN ADULT.
just what i expected............i gave it to my cousin,,,,,he absolutely loved it......very satisfied.........
