Genuine Hakko vs Cheaper China Repos
Purchased a 937D* Soldering Station which came with 5 tips made in China. The tips are usable but they are lightweight and poorly plated. I actually had to drill out one of them so it would slide onto ceraminc heating element. I needed a 1.2mm chisel tip which was not included. After purchasing and using I am going to purchase more Genuine Hakko tips. What a difference. Heavier, weight wise, which means better and more constant tip temperature. Plating is very good and cleans easily. Does not build up with sledge like the cheapos. Genuine Hakko T18 tip. Fits FX-600 and 888.
I prefer these D16 chisel tips to the B cone tips. Hakko quality, heats up evenly, and lasts a very long time (if taken proper care).
