    The Masterpiece Collection every Hitchcock Fan Should have.

    Here is an Ultimate Masterpiece Collection DVD Box set every fan should have in their collection. The same set also comes in Blu-Ray for a much higher price but from a budget point of view... this is a very nice set to start with. Every movie in this set has been re-mastered..video and audio. The vertigo movie here is finally in an anamorphic video. The already awesome transfer even gets better watching them in an upscaled view with a Blu-ray player. The container comes in a velvet material witch wasn't the same case as the blu ray box set version. Highly recommended!

    a good collection

    beautiful box set and it is covered in a nice suede too. not all the movies were that good and the ones I did like long ago seem boring now. I couldn't finish Torn Curtain because Julie Andrews ruined it and it was hard to believe Paul Newman was a nuclear scientist. Doris Day almost ruined The Man Who Knew Too Much in the same fashion, but I finished it, Rope was a queenfest and Jimmy Stewart always looked old no matter what age he was. Vertigo was sooo boring . Alfred Hitchcock Presents are much better

    The Great Alfred Hitchcock

    I had been looking for a Hitchcock collection like this. I have most of his movies on VHS tape but my machine finally died and I was looking to have his 'best' on dvd. Very glad I found this on Ebay; to me it truly represents his best works. The bonus CD was very interesting also; interviews with Janet Leigh on her experience acting in 'Psycho' and Tippi Hedren's remarks on working with Mr. Hitchcock in 'The Birds.' Did you know Janet never took another shower after making Psycho? It's true.

    So far, so good

    Can't really say too much about all of the Hitchcock package since I've only viewed three of the 14 movies. What I've seen has been great, and I'm sure the others are just as good since I've already seen the movies before, I just need to make sure the CD are fine.
