''Basic good value British birds pocket field guide''....
Basic pocket size field guide to help in identification of most of the birds that you would normally find in Britain and Ireland. Well laid out, with good descriptions and informative and clear depictions of the birds. (these are good art work images, and not photographs, so distinguishing features can be identified more clearly) The paragraph on the 'confusion species' is very helpful, as it clarifies any identification issues with a similar species that could occur. I would possibly have liked a more durable cover for the book, but it's longevity is yet to be tested, and it may very well prove to be OK. A good little book, I would recommend purchasing as a first field guide for the budding or casual bird watcher like myself, before progression to more advanced books on the subject.
