    Product Information

SEE LIFE THROUGH FRESH EYES One wet Friday evening, Professor Andrew Martin solves the world's greatest mathematical riddle. Then he disappears. When he is found walking naked along the motorway, Professor Martin has changed. He now finds normal life pointless. His loving wife and teenage son seem repulsive to him. In fact, he hates everyone on the planet. Everyone except Newton. And he's a dog. Can a bit of Debussy and Emily Dickinson keep him from murder? And what can he possibly learn from life among the humans?

        Great for lockdown

Was not sure at first, it seemed a bit light weight. I like depth and beautifully formed sentences. However Jeanette Winterson was quoted on the back cover so I read on. Result I was captivated and cried laughed , even looked up the author. Interesting fella. If you have kids, a relationship, insecurities, a sense of humour , interest in other human sect there will be something in this for you. I loved it.

      • A good read, enjoyable and memorable.

Read this for our book club. It's not something I would have chosen and early on I thought I wasn't going to enjoy it, but I was wrong. The story is definitely different but I was drawn into the characters and was able to believe in them, especially the main character Andrew. The book was funny in many ways but also thought-provoking and poignant. I would recommend it as a very enjoyable, and memorable, read.
