No bubble wrap & no care made in securing the item which led to it arriving damaged. The seller did offer a $30 partial refund after I contacted eBay to intervene since the fan blades were the only part broken, but my mechanic had to spend extra time swapping the blades between fan motors. Great value for the price! These hard to find items are really worth putting on eBay. Without this it would have taken me a long time to find or retrofit another unit to open and close my flap.
