You Can't Go Wrong With a Genuine Black + Decker 40V Lithium-Ion Replacement Battery Pack!
Even though almost all lithium-ion battery packs are now manufactured in China, it's best to buy them from the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of the product they are designed for. In this case, you are safest buying a branded Black + Decker replacement lithium-ion 40 volt battery pack like this one, because Black + Decker ensures that the Chinese manufacturer of their OEM 40 volt battery pack meets all of Black + Decker's design standards for the quality and SAFETY of the battery pack. The OEM pack will cost somewhat more, but if something goes wrong, you can always look to Black + Decker for the customer support you won't get from some knock-off battery manufacturer who is undercutting the price of a genuine B&D product. Be sure to look for the genuine B&D logo imprinted on top of the battery pack, just as is shown in my attached photo.

Black + Decker ...Why ???
The battery is as good as it was in the past when it was White, Orange and Black, but the change in the logo and color scheme is confusing customers and causing problems for our business. We have had customers return it because they thought it was not genuine Black & Decker. The company has made a bad move by entirely changing the look of their products.

Black and Decker 2.0 Battery
Battery is better than the original Black and Decker battery...This battery fits snugly in the charger and charges better than the original Black and Decker batter...It doesn't stop charging for no reason...This a great battery and I highly recommend this battery to anyone... The price point was excellent as well and arrived on time in great packaging and also has power rating bar included on it just like the original Black and Decker battery...Tough battery case as well...Excellent product..

Buy you B&D equipment w/o batteries and get these.
Cost a bit less than the std 2 amp batteries that come w the b&d set with a third more life and power. Night and day difference. Do yourself a favor and only buy these if ur buying extras or buy the equip w/o the battery and order these separately.

Work as Well as Original Black & Decker Batteries
These two aftermarket batteries work as well as the original Black & Decker batteries that came with my mower (when the batteries were new) for 1/4 the price of Black & Decker replacements. Hopefully, they last the four years that the original batteries lasted. The fit is a little tight in the string trimmer and the blower, but they do fit. They fit fine in the mower.

Great replacement battery
I have a 36 volt weed eater and hedge trimmer. I have been unable to find a 36 volt battery as they have been discontinued. I was told that the 40 volt battery would work with my equipment and 36 volt charger. I finally decided to try it and it works perfectly and charged in my 36 volt charger. I am completely satisfied with the purchase. Shipping took a little longer because of this covid 19

Never truly knew whether or not these off versions of batteries worked or not but they seemingly do! Now I can’t speak for the road ahead if it’ll last longer than a few months or not but so far it’s performing Perfectly! And since it’s more A/h than my original batteries that crapped out in less than 2 yrs, it’s much more powerful and lasts longer!! Plus w/ the cost being so low there’s zero risk! Thanks so much! This same battery from Black and Decker is over $100.00. Can't even find it at Lowe's or Home Depot. Greatest find ever. I couldn't believe the price. I have used mine and am very happy with it. It is the same weight and dimensions as a black and decker 40v battery.
This is an aftermarket product but at half the price. I used it in my black and decker and hedge trimmer the other day and it worked great. It fit into the trimmer the same as my original but I to maneuver it slightly to make it work in my black and decker charger. It charged just like an OEM battery. No problems.
