This reel is incredibly heavy duty and rugged. I had it in a walmart plastic bag. It broke right through because it was so heavy and hit my concrete porch. Barely even a nick. I have been shopping around for more equipment. When I tell retailers I have a cortez they all agree I have a good reel.
