    This book arrived in good condition and as described and good was good value as were the other books I ordered. Unfortunately the packaging didn't survive Royal Mails handling and this was the only book I received of five I had ordered. I contacted WeBuyBooks and they have been brilliant in trying to resolve the issue of the missing books. They are replacing one that they still have in stock though unfortunately are unable to do so for the other three so are issuing a refund for these.

    CGP English Language & Literature revision guide

    I bought this CGP book thinking it would be better value for money considering you get English Language and Literature in one revision guide, however I recommend to anyone who was thinking about getting this one to get a separate English Language revision guide and then a CGP guide each for poems and then the individual ones they do for novels and plays. I feel that with subjects that are made up of so much content it is impossible to condense it into such a small revision guide. However, this CGP revision guide would be ok if you are aiming for the lower grades or if you are not sure what you need to talk about in your writing; e.g. similes, metaphors, irony, purpose, writer's viewpoint, effects on the reader etc.

    A book of confusion

    This guide comes from the right place. It is written well in a light and teen-friendly way with some decent content and good explanations but it falls down badly in the way it is laid out. They have jumbled up language with literature explanations on the same page identified with colour-coded panels. They love these tinted and highlighted panels. They are everywhere. In fact they are so ubiquitous throughout that you end up staring at a page wondering which of the highlighted areas is the important bit. Another even more damaging aspect of this as a guide is that there is no identification between the content and the part of the exam it is relevant to.     Best of the best books out there!

    I didn't get a chance to do my GCSE'S when i was at school as i had a rather troubling childhood but being an honour student at college and getting straight A'S i wanted to resit my GCSE'S in both maths english and physics and these books really do give you a great insight into real tests! I expect grear results.
