Handy Printer for Travel
The Canon BJC-80 is about the smallest inkjet portable printer around. It's an older technology but rugged and Canon still provides drivers for this parallel printer for newer Win OS. Slow printer and ink is costly but hey, for the convenience when traveling it's well worth it. I own several to make sure I always have one. Ink drying out is always a problem with this type printer. Just buy a new cartridge/print head combo and keep it wrapped until you need it. There are parallel printer-to-usb cords available if you need to connect to a USB port.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Never worked even after buying fresh ink cartridges for it....
Yes, it all looked well and good, so I ponied up the 20 bucks for it (10.00 for item & 10.00 for shipping). All I wanted was a black ink printer for some basic printing. Well, I can't say I didn't get everything in the picture because I did... and it all looked great. That is until I realized that it was for an ancient Windows 95 OS. I had to spend more money on a printer cable adapter to make it connect via USB. After getting the adapter it all synced up very good with the printing app and the properties and all that. I was getting excited to try it out, and that's where the big problem started. Everything was working well until I gave it some paper...it fed it in okay and sounded like it was working. But as the paper emerged to the front it was just blank. No ink on the paper. Since I hd thought ahead and ordered some new ink cartridges for this model at an additional cost of another 13 bucks I thought I had that covered. Swapped out the cartridges and tried again....same results. I even soaked the printing heads in alcohol and it still came up blank. My wager on this as a cheap alternative printer was a losing bet. Save your money and buy a new printer on sale for 50 bucks. You'll save yourself precious time and money.Verified purchase: Yes
