REALLY BAD SCREEN, good quality build, and speakers, and buttons! I dont recomend it!
The Case and all looks nice and good, the buttons are nice aswell and good, The sound quality is fantastic, but the WORST PART about this is THE SCREEN, its absoluttly horrible, I CANT ALMOST SEE ANYTHING ON IT!" Im sorry but I do not recommend this, I had the lights turned on and still it was really hard to see, this is not how I remember it was, I remember it was easier to see in the light. I do not reccomend people to buy this, buy one with backlight! Best regards

Best Gameboy experience
This ingenious mod of the OG GBA's comfort with the SP's backlight give me an excellent option for enjoying the GBA, GBC, and GB library. I bought this with the intention of playing Metroid Fusion and Zero Mission and I currently have no regrets. Now outside of this just being a functional product, it is indeed in very good condition without signs of wear and tear. I knew I could've gotten a cheaper version of this mod, but I personally thought the extra assurance about the product's quality was worth it ( nothing was clunky, the parts used were of best working condition, etc). The screen works great, the buttons are responsive and Fusion runs perfectly so far. LOVE IT!!!!
I was a little worried regarding some of the other reviews in regards to the fit of the cover and how the buttons felt. Those fears were unwarranted as the unit I got was in mint condition with the Mario & Luigi cover installed. The only minor complaint is there is an area to the right of the screen where you can see a white line down the display. If the screen had been nudged over maybe a millimeter or so more to the right it would probably not even been noticeable. My Overall experience to this Japanese Product.
It is pretty much as it was expecting. It is scratchy and no back cover but that doesn't matter. It is a working Gameboy and it is playable with a functioning screen and uses replaceable batteries instead of charging them. Overall it was great and suddenly I forgot that this is a Japanese version of the console, so it couldn't read my game cards. So, aside from that, I really love it all of the above. Good for the price
If your someone like me and enjoy playing it inside with the lamp on it's great. The only thing I've noticed is the buttons are loose but nothing that will cause a problem and the advance games don't sit it perfectly flush. Having that said it is a 001 version so if you get this don't plan on playing in the dark or outside at all.
