    Edgar Winter and Leon Russell and their band. Totally Great

    Twenty or so years ago I noticed the marquee at a small club in Northern CA stated Edgar Winter Band with Leon Russell tonight. It was late in the afternoon, I was with friends, and we all wanted to see these 2 headliners and the band so we got a bite to eat and later went to the club. I could go on for hours but let me just say this was one of the best shows I have ever seen or heard. The band was in top form, they were clearly having fun, they sounded great, and they played for hours. I was stunned at how good they were. This DVD captures some of this, you can really see and hear the quality and talent of these musicians. The DVD is a treasure.

    Worth a watch despite the audio

    The sound quality is not the best. Edgar's sax comes through loud and clear, a lot of Leon's piano is basically missing. Other than that, it's good to see them performing.
