    Fast, quiet, simple to operate - excellent grinder

    I processed my own deer for the first time this year and this grinder was amazing! It's super fast and easy to use, and the grind was very even. It's pretty quiet while it's running too. I thought I was going to have a really hard time stuffing sausages but it went surprisingly well. I cannot recommend this product enough!

    looks heavy duty but internal clutch is plastic.

    While I'm satisfied I'm not happy with the heavy duty labelling suggesting it is a heavy use grinder. The internal clutch is made of plastic and it doesn't have the power of a really heavy duty grinder. The grinder had a hard time regrinding meat and would cause a suction with the push down stick thats made of plastic. Another problem it the pushing stick is also a storage for the extra pieces. The big problem is its made with flimsy plastic that doesn't hold its shape when pushing down the re-ground meat. Again if you do get this I suggest not regrinding meat, it struggles and will take forever. After struggling for a half hour I gave up and just used it as is. When I did my research Weston was always highly mentioned and always said metal gears. I don't know what has changed but the ...

    Weston #8 Grinder - Electric

    I did quite a bit of research prior to purchasing this unit. I felt comfortable with my decision and was pleasantly surprised when it arrived and put it to use. Set up was easy and it grinded for 3 hours without a hitch. I ran the machine as described in the manual, meaning I didn't run the machine for long periods of time without allowing it to "cool" down. The machine ran flawlessly and I ran my venison & elk through 2x. End product looked great. Clean up was a breeze and I was happy with my purchase & look forward to working with it again.

    Excellent product for discerning buyer!

    Bought this to grind elk meat. Sceptical at first, very impressed with it! Never missed a beat. Not too noisy, but you have to expect its going to be loud. Breezed right through over 100 pounds of meat, no problem. Cleaned right up with a little dawn dish soap. I highly recommend this model for the Hunter/outdoorsman with a little meat to grind.
