The Korg MA-1 and a nice basic and inexpensive solo metronome.
Perfect for Piano practice. I have been using an MA-1 one for several years and love it. I personally think it's much nicer than it's replacement, the NEW MA-2 based on sound alone. The Korg MA-1 has an internal speaker. The Korg MA-2 uses an internal, squeaky sounding Piezo device which IMO produces horrible audio. The Korg MA-1 and a great basic and inexpensive solo metronome. Before purchasing any basic metronome I recommend you actually try them first to avoid disappointment. There are generally 2 considerations folks complain about. Make sure YOU like the tone and make sure YOU think it has enough volume for how you plan to use it.

Versatile and easy to use
It has all the settings anyone can want in a metronome. Some of them do not have the simple repeating click but this one does. Only complaint is that it could be louder. However, it could be run through desktop speakers or a stereo if necessary. The big Start/Stop button on the front was an absolute must for me. I did not want to fumble with a slider switch on the side like many others have, as the clicks can become sickening after a while. So it's set ready to go, then turned on and off instantly as needed. I plan to use Velcro to attach it to an organ. One probably would not want to do this to a nice guitar, so the kind with a clamping mechanism would be better there.
