Moving up to pro level bodies!
having previously used the GH3 coming to the LUMIX GH4 was very easy as they are virtually identical in looks and outward controls the GH4 just does what it does a little bit better. I am almost exclusively a stills photographer, if I was into video the differences would be much more obvious not least true 4K recording. But I am so impressed with the GH series I wanted to upgrade to the GH4 when I could afford it. I tend to prefer two bodies so as to limit the lens changes during a shoot and the GH4 replaces my G6 which was my first micro 4 thirds body. I loved the G6 but was persuaded to get a GH3 and loved it even more, as I have big paws the bigger more sculpted GH body fitted me better and the enhanced imaging ability and weather proofed metal body of a pro level camera just made sense. Adding the GH4 has me just about done in terms of upgrading bodies, and I am part way through upgrading my lenses to go with them. Just love the LUMIX/Leica branded optics purely an as and when I can afford the upgrade. LOVE MY LUMIX sysytem!

Brilliant for film making at a budget
Fantastic camera for basic video. Really capable and with masses of Youtube videos, it is possible to get the best out of it. The Youtube videos for which there is no end of tutorials really makes the difference. The camera can do it, it is more of a matter of can I do the camera. Michael

Still a great video friendly camera
I use two GH5s cameras in my work but needed a Stills camera and back up video. My GH4r was a steal with extra battery grip . 4K recording and hdmi out for streaming, along with remote control and great for outdoors shooting in rough places, plus stills , compatible with my existing lenses and batteries makes this still a sensible buy in 2020
