A delightful production of Box of Delights!
A well made adaptation of John Masefield's fantasy novel - a tv series from the 80's but still looks good and very enjoyable. Much better than the His Dark Materials series (which has excellent effects), even though the Box of Delights production may seem a little outdated being the 80's but much more atmospheric. Bought this because it's what the 'Beeb' do at their best.... together with The Chronicles of Narnia which I also purchased through ebay they both make two excellent examples of good children's storytelling from the 1980's.
