The Star Wars DVD Original Trilogy and Prequels Trilogy Box Sets & Movies comprise Episodes I, II, III, IV, V, and VI of George Lucas's iconic Star Wars Saga-- and should definitely be in the collections of all Star Wars fans! These editions contain post-theatrical-release edits of the original three films, which caused a stir among some fans. As a completist and "purist" with high regard for the originals, I recommend getting both the original trilogy theatrical releases, PLUS these subsequent versions if possible. If not, the later versions seem a better deal for general viewing. Some changes to the original films seem puzzling, like altering Han and Greedo's confrontation, or inserting Jabba into Episode IV, or differing Yodas; but they aren't really harmful to storylines, ... The Star Wars DVD Original Trilogy and Prequels Trilogy Box Sets & Movies comprise Episodes I, II, III, IV, V, and VI of George Lucas's iconic Star Wars Saga-- and should definitely be in the collections of all Star Wars fans! Lucas's decision brought a connected closure to the adventurous journey that we had all taken along with the Saga's personages. Other reasons to go for these editions include the newer technologies that enhanced and enlivened the stories more than had been possible during their origins, and the fact that they are generally the more available and affordable versions to buy. All in all, these editions of the six movies are a savvy choice for collectors and fans! Highly recommended!

Required repair
The price was fair but upon trying to watch them, the discs were so scratched up and covered in a sort of chem film they were almost white. Not even reflective at that point until I took them to a media store and had them buffed enough to work properly. Overall I am unhappy because the fair price went to unfair once I had to have them professionally repaired at a cost so they would work.

A CLASSIC FOR ALL TIME!
I hadn't watched this movie series for a very long time, and found myself enjoying it -- not only as much as I had in its original release at movie theaters, but from an entirely new level of appreciation. How far we have come in CGI when compared to the original Star Wars series, but more importantly, there is an extra appreciation level for how very innovative and creative the Lucas team was during those early years -- a classic story line of good versus evil, the characters of the story, the special effects, costuming, movie sets, etc. Truly, there is little wonder that this first Star Wars trilogy is a classic for all time and all audiences!I hadn't watched this movie series for a very long time, and found myself enjoying it -- not only as much as I had in its original release at movie theaters, but from an entirely new level of appreciation. We bought this original trilogy, (4,5 & 6), on VHS tapes many years ago. We`ve found the first three on DVD`s, (1,2 & 3), at the goodwill over the last few years, but could never find the original first three. Very good images in your listing. Great deal...minus one strange quirk
This is a great deal for this classic trilogy. One weird glitch...the conversation between Han and Greedo in Star Wars is missing the subtitles, so you cannot understand what Greedo is saying. This is an important conversation as it plays out throughout the entire trilogy. Other than that...no complaints!
