Very good, but like everything, it wears out over time.
This is my second CL220 Hayward Feeder. The first one lasted about 10 years before the dial that controls the flow of bromine started to become inaccurate. Hopefully I can get another 10 years or more out of my second one. Also, over time the top lid became very difficult to open. They sell a plastic wrench to assist in opening the lid that I would recommend once it becomes stuck or hard to open.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

This is an excellent Chlorinator for our above ground pool I recently found out that you should change the O-rin inside the chlorinator cover every 1 to 2 years to make putting the cover on & off easy. Will Last a Few Years Then It's Time to Replace
This is a replacement for the same Hayward Chlorinator that I've had for several years. After a number of years opening and closing the chlorinators becomes harder and harder. You can replace the o-ring in the cover which helps for a while. However the chlorine seems to do something to the plastic that the affects the threads on the canister or the lid and I've found the easiest solution is just to replace the feeder.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

I would have given it 5 starts but gave it 4 because the valve the regulates the flow from the chlorinator to the pool is basically functions like an on/off switch. There is almost no variation of flow. If the flow is set low (like I would like to adjust it too) when I check it a day later there is no flow at all--and no chlorine going into the pool.
