    Onkyo is a great product - hooked to Polk Speakers - Sounds Great - Great versatility for a straight stereo receiver I am using to receive output from a 100 cd changer which I've wanted to years - I have approx 1200 CDs - some of which I haven't heard in years!!!     Old School, Always!

    What a great classic Onkyo receiver! I have everything running through this "vintage" classic. Yes I said everything: TV, DVD player, VHS player, CD player, Turntable, and four speakers. This was exactly what I was looking for and I couldn't be happier.

    Impressed again

    2nd 8555 I have had, first one died on me and replaced it with a Harmon Kardon unit which did not seam to sound as good. the HK died and I bought this on hoping it would work. Once alive it confirmed that it was superior to the HK, you can hear every instrument being played during a song, even the gentle sounds in the background. The source had a second one listed and I was going to buy it but it was gone when I looked. Would buy another if I could find it.
