      Top ranking PVR

Superb Humax PVR, undoubtably one of the best types they produced. Excellent menu and EPG, so simple to record and set a timer, brilliant HD picture quality, all round quality in design and set-up. Because this PVR is a little dated the device is no longer much use to stream (unless you have a software update) but that does not bother me at all...I just love it as it performs on Freeview anyway! With very few faults, this is a terrific purchase at a very OK price. I am delighted I got this Humax over more expensive and later versions which, however are not as easy to operate and have more negatives. For me THE "FOX" is one of the best PVRs of all time. Excellent product, highly recommended.

    • Top critical review

I prefer this model to the aura android sucsessor which takes 2 seconds to respond to a button push, and is always trying to sell you stuff.

Remote control was missing, and disk drive had failed. Once I had fixed both of these product works well.

    • Old but best

Probably the best freeview recorder ever made for its time. With custom firmware available its possible to do so many things, including transferring hd recordings to an external hard drive. but because of its age there doesnt seem to be a way of watching streamed content & pushing the portal button will just take some minutes from you until you get back out of that. I wouldn't part with mine.

    • Long discontinued, but it's a great High Definition Freeview DVR

This has long been discontinued but it's a great High Definition Freeview DVR to record two shows at once and watch a third or a recording. I have three of these now, one of the attractions is the ability to network (wired only unless you have the WiFi adaptor) them and view shows recorded on another device. Another advantage is that there is a independent group of enthusiasts that has built an upgrade to the firmware that extends functionality of this box which you can install (at your own risk), as I have done.
