    Plays the DLNA media files I need...

    I bought this because none of my "smart" TV's will play the .ts files produced by WinTV 8 on my desktop. I tried converting them to mp4 and playing them direct to my TV's but none would play smoothly. I decided to try one of the .ts files on my LG620 and it played perfectly. Yay!!! I called LG support to see what other LG players could handle the .ts files and they said this one would. So I bought it. Works perfectly. Don't know whether is good on blu-ray's as I never rent them anymore. I have not found a Blu-ray disk yet from RedBox that will play all the way through on any of my Blu-Ray players. One being the LG620. I'm blaming the disks not the player. I'm sticking with DVD's. They are a more solid technology.

    One nifty BD player and much more...

    I researched a number of $100 + players, looking for outstanding connectivity. This LG player topped them all with HDMI, composite AV, digital audio and of course WiFi for complete network integration. No more do I have to burn a file to disk or Flash Drive - press MENU and select WiFi and all available computers appear. There is a USB port on the front panel of the player for those who have downloaded music, images or movies from their smart devices, digital cameras and such. Although LG has officially discontinued this model (mfg 2013), it is available from a variety of sources online. I just happened across a used machine with low mileage and a favorable price. The package is deceptively light and only 1/2 of traditional height but this doesn't mean anything was left out. LG products ...

    Overall it's not bad...the only thing I don't like about it is that while playing it makes a clicking noise which is annoying when trying to watch a movie! If not for that I would give 4 stars****
