    Love the Story of Anne Shirley

    It was not "better than expected". The quality of the DVD is not great. But, that is because it is an older series. I'm sure if I bought the digitally mastered set for $180 it would be wonderful. But I'm not going to spend $180 on the set. The story is why I bought it. I love the story and how it follows Anne from age 12 through adulthood. I found part three the video was a better quality, but then when I watched part 4 it was the not so clear quality like the first two DVDs. Again, it was filmed in the late 80's, so there is no 4G!

    Anne of Green Gables

    Disappointed!!! Video quality of DVDs is poor! Instead of being excellent in quality that we expect when purchasing a new DVD, for lack of a better description, they have a light snow or fuzz creating an unsatisfactory contrast in brightness and color. We love Anne of Green Gables and we were very excited to find this product on line at such a great value. Hopefully, other Anne of Green Gables DVDs will not have the poor video quality of our purchase.

    Love the first two Anne of Green Gables movies. Great price.

    Bought three sets for me and daughters. Picture quality on 1st one is not great because of lack of present day technology and it was made from the video. Still glad because I and my daughters love Anne of Green Gables. The third movie has nothing to do with the Anne books other than the time period of the war at that time. Still glad for it because I like Megan Follows and Johnathan Crombie. My order was processed excellently. The packaged was delivered quicker than expected. Great seller.

    Great Story but . . .

    I love this story and after years bought this DVD set. The acting, sets, etc. are great but the visual quality of these DVDs was very sub par. I tried every possible setting adjustment to compensate for the grainy quality of the video. I cannot recommend this for play on an HD tv. It needs to be redigitized to reduce the boxy blur. It took so much away from the absolute viewing pleasure of this classic masterpiece!

    great deal great moves worth the money

    I love the movies. the acting is of course marvelous the setting gorgeous. megan follows is so charming and who cant love colleen dewhurst, my only issue is the first dvd seems to have issues it keeps...for lack ofa better word. over piexelating when the camera changes angle.
