Heavy tome
Too long. This book uses way too many words in the way of description. It tends to repeat itself again and again. Wording is archaic. I understand it was written in an older time but some of the references are hard to swallow. Plot is convoluted, difficult to follow. I skipped entire chapters, yet was able to pick up the thread easily with the next chapter. All in all,I cannot recommend this as a good read.

Great book for long plane flights/rainy days/quarantining.
Interesting book. Keeps me reading and still compelling even though it was written back in the 80s. Dan Simmons is a horror writer just as talented as Stephen King.
