    The game expansion was posted promptly from the USA, arrived quickly, and was sent in sensible packaging. Unfortunately, a key component of the expansion was missing. This was communicated to Noble Knight Games, as this was not "as described ". NKG were great at sorting out the problem, and sourced a replacement for the missing component within a week, then airmail it over to me. Overall, good value, a great service and communications. I've used many times, and will continue to do so.

    Better than expected. Heavier too.

    If you're looking for a 'heavy' board game that hit's that D&D itch without needing a dedicated GM, you should really check this out. Go watch some video reviews first though - it's not perfect. But my friends and I are really digging it, more than we expected. Would buy again.

    Box busting

    I don't normally play board games or any rpg that is not a video game. The price tag did make Gloomhaven look less appealing, however this singular box contains so much. I needed to purchase extra containers just to close the box! Yes, it is easier to play a video game. Yes, it does take a while to setup and clean up. Yes, the rules for the enemy movement is very confusing. Yes, you will lose a ton and will have to set everything up again. Yes, it takes a very long time to play and it gets exponentially worse with each added player. However none of these issues would prevent me from trying again. Your decisions will stick with you to the end of this game. Oddly enough I have no regrets, even with my poor choices. Try a round with a friend's Gloomhaven first. If ...

    Heavy in more ways than one.

    Gigantic box, tons of components, interesting packaging. Broad rule set, fairly complex, but interesting new card management mechanics and an enjoyable rpg-style campaign backed miniature combat board game.

    Gloomhaven is one for the ages

    Amazing game. Three years later, I’ve played over 2/3 of the missions already but I had to go out and buy the whole thing again to play with a new group of friends. Childress just made a real winner here.

    The God of board games.

    22 pounds of cardboard awesomeness. You'll need a lot of time and a lot of space but it's completely worth it. Definitely invest in an organization system.
