Great part
This bushing was a drop in fit but I still fine tuned it. After that I took the firearm to the range and it took an inch off my groups. After I Saw the results I then polished it starting with 1000 grit wet/dry sandpaper and decreasing the grit until ending up with 2500 and now it looks like a mirror. Very high quality part. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a replacement bushing. It will work no matter if you have experience fitting it or not.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Not bad for DIY.
The workmanship on this barrel bushing is very good. For most shooters, this barrel bushing should be just fine and highly recommended. However, I would not recommend this for more serious shooters. I run a machine shop so I have the tools to take accurate measurements, and this barrel bushing is a bit loose. The ID of the bushing measures 0.583" diameter, measured with precision pin gauges. I was hoping to slide it over the barrel I'm working on and it should be stuck at the end so I could fit it, but the bushing slid all the way down to the lugs. The barrel in question is measured at 0.578" diameter, so I measure a couple other NEW barrels; an Ed Brown and a Sig Sauer. These both measured between 0.578" and 0.579". This is a difference of roughly 0.005". This is what I would call a "drop-in" bushing, with no fitting required. So, for the average shooter, this is a no-fuss install, which is great. For more serious shooters or competition shooters, this will offset by about ±0.5" at 25 yards.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great replacement!
Cracked original factory Colt bushing and purchased this one as a replacement. Price was right and quality, fit and finish on this item are excellent. Had it to the range and it helped tighten my group sizes somewhat. The fit is a bit tighter than the original factory bushing but it seems to work just fine. A superior 1911 bushing!
I bought a used 1911 that the previous owner did a quasi "Punisher" job on ... compensator and grips, but no original barrel bushing. I tried two different bushings from a well-known gun parts company -- neither one would fit, and I didn't want to do a "grind it till you find it" job. This bushing sold by Klonimus is a true drop-in bushing -- in, twist, DONE! Blued finish is rich and dark. Just a superior, well-made part. It Actually Fit !!
I know this sounds strange, but I place this bushing on my Colt series 1970, with a "little" oil, and the bushing fit perfectly. Drop in bushing for Citadel 1911
