Excellent range and usability
The Linksys Max-Stream AC2600 Router Model EA8500 is a great product, easy to set up and configure, and has amazing range, both lateral and vertical. I have a four storey house and can get excellent Wi-Fi reception in the basement with the router in the attic. I have had no problems with it at all - even after a power failure it booted up normally and was good to go. I really cannot recommend ant other router with as much enthusiasm. It doesn't work to well through walls and bigger houses, I bought this because some guy said it worked through a 3 story house and I have a 2 story house and I still need my repeater. If you take the time to up your Cisco FU You can have a way better home network for far cheaper then anything at the big box stores. I spent under $120 and have a gig speed router and 2 POE 48 port gig switches with a 10 gig fiber trunk, and an access point for the fire stick. Great entry level router !
Perfect for home or smal buisness. Perfect for learning as well. I recommend the 1921SEC/K9 version. The base 1921/K9 does not have VPN. I did that mistake but otherwise still happy with my purchase.

Good learning platform for those pursuing certifications by CISCO.
