You can't go wrong with Alastair Sim! For those who only know him as the definitive Scrooge, he was one of the funniest men on film and a fine actor to boot. These are all comedies in which he stands out and shows his comic skills at their sharpest. He only has a small role in "Hue and Cry" and I wish they had included a different film in which he actually starred, like "The Green Man," which is very hard to find. But "Hue and Cry' is a good film in its own right.
Better Prints With Subtitles Are What You Want, Not This Set.
I had two of these four films already, but it was cheaper to buy this than the other two separately. Now I know why; The restorations are not nearly as good as the two I already have. Also, and this is very important, there are NO subtitles on any of these films which, when purchased separately, do. Now my hearing is okay. I just find it challenging to always understand the British, especially a cockney accent. I would highly recommend buying these titles separately.
