Excellent optic for my needs
Purchased the SCS green optic for my son who is cross eye dominant, meaning that he shoots left handed with a dominant right eye. He is also color blind with reds being a problem, but not green. As I understand and have done, you use this type of optic by having both eyes open and focus on your target, not the sight. Installation was easy- two screws out to remove the existing cover plate, two screws back in to install the SCS with BLUE Loctite for a good set of the screws. No adapter plate needed as advertised. Existing and provided screws both work for mounting, being very quick and easy to do. Everything you need is in the box: screws, Torx tightening and adjustment tool, and cleaning cloth. Fit and finish were perfect. I like that the SCS is smaller and sits lower than my Holosun 509T. This means a less intrusive optic if desired and I found that the reticle was easier to visually acquire on the SCS since it is as simple as lining up the existing front and rear sight. OEM sights are tall enough to be seen through the SCS, no need for taller sights. The single function button was easy to use with auto/fixed brightness, dot/circle/circle and dot, on/off functions. Sighting in was easy and did not take long. Not having a battery is a plus for me. I do not have any negatives about the SCS at this point and it has met my needs in a pistol optic. It's not a "cheap" optic, as I avoid those, but priced right for quality with out going overboard in my opinion.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Holosun SCS MOS is great!
If you have a mos platform glock pistol there really is no better optic out there in my opinion. The way it was designed to fit directly to the slide is awesome, factory height sights cowitness perfectly, and no need for plates. One thing I will say is it's advertised as a 2 moa dot but it does seem to be bigger than that more like a 4 moa compared to other optics I have used in the past.This is also my first experience with a green dot,and it will take some getting used to. I have owned other holosun optics in the past and all have been durable and performed perfectly, only time will tell if this one does as well,but so far after a few weeks of use I am very pleased.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

SCS doesn't disappoint
I haven't had the SCS long enough to give a long-term use review but I love how easy it is to acquire dot compared to other red dots I've owned over the years. Just naturally pointing my g19 I'm pretty much instantly on target and not making adjustments to find it. Looks great, perfect fit, clear glass, crisp reticle what more could you ask for?

solar powered green optic sight. 3 choices of view::dot, reticle, reticle with dot.Once it is turned on , toggle through till you find the target optic you prefer. Then when finished shooting set your piece down and put in dark area and will shut off automatically and stay off till it is picked up and it turns on automatically. Amazing!
