Disappointing relative to its own brand's competition
It's actually larger and heavier than my DCF885 DeWalt brushed impact driver... I can't imagine why anyone would buy this other than the alleged "brushless" advantage over the standard DeWalt model. The standard DeWalt model (the DCF885) is cheaper, lighter, and smaller. This Atomic might be a bit more powerful but the 885 is plenty. Best in the business. Light, compact and powerful.
As is usual with Dewalt cordless and brushless tools this impact driver is superior to any alternative that I can think of. I have been a high end custom cabinetmaker for nearly half a century and although their are some corded tools that I would recommend by a different manufacturers, when it comes to cordless tools there may be brands that come close, none are better. The tool in question operates as one would hope and although I expect to be proven wrong at some distant time, as yet unknowable, for now I couldn't ask for more. Good and cheap
Great gun. It won't remove lugs but it will remove standard-sized bolts . its as strong as my 12v 3/8 brushless. if i need stronger i use my air gun... my toolbox has 12v and 20v Dewalt guns and this was a missing gun for the smaller fasteners that required me to use a 1/4 adapter on my 3/8. i also only need one charger to charge 12v and 20v so they are also convenient.. strong guns and cheap so if i bust one at work im not upset.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Great value for small impact driver
Great value for an impact driver that will last you years of home use. CAVEAT - It only has a single speed setting (unlike some of the higher end models that have 3 speed settings like the DCF895. Dewalt quality
The only thing about this tool that required user adjustment on my part involved the variable speed feature. It jumps from off to high speed with little trigger in between.
