  • Best novel I’ve read all year

Slow beginning, but compelling after a few chapters. The description of Alaska was done beautifully. The story of the Allbright family was intriguing. They loved, they planned, and Cora and daughter, Leni, were victims of abuse. Kristen Hannah outdid herself here.

  • The Great Alone Novel -

I am reading this book for book club. I am 3/4 of the way through. I thought it was a little slow in spots, but it does get much better. After half way through, it is hard to put down. The content can be disturbing at times.

It only took me a minute to get into this great book. It probably took me about a week to read the whole book, as I wanted to see how things turned out for everyone in the book.
