Cleans Great with a little help from a friend
The Roomba performs very well, but there are a few things you need to do to make your home Roomba friendly, it will not work on any rugs with black lines on them, it doesn't know what to do and will give an audible error message, so we bought a new rug without black lines and it goes over it fine. next virtual wall which is sold separately at least for our model 614 is a must to keep it in a room you want to clean, otherwise it will just wonder around the entire house. next find a way to organize all of your cords from table lamps, phones, TVs as the Roomba will get caught up in them and get an error or just drag them out from under the sofa, I got some self adhesive cord clips and attached cords to baseboard. It won't go under my TV cabinet, so I'm thinking of attaching some blocks to the bottom of it so that it will go under, Roomba is great for clean under things where you can't reach.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great ride for cats, amusing to watch, but somewhat counterproductive as a vacuum.
I should have known better than to covet this product because of... cats. Because of the charming cat videos. Seriously, I bought it for my store because it is annoying to find outlets for the canister vacuum to reach everywhere I need it (i.e., out of sheer laziness), but... the Roomba is not for Virgos. Though it is somewhat entertaining to watch, it takes a strange, meandering path and can get hung up on odd-shaped fixture legs, meaning it requires some supervision. I've only used it twice so far, and it seems generally reliable, but I answered "no" to that question because of the times it got stuck and needed assistance. (I did appreciate that all I had to do was set it down and press the button for it to continue working). The other unexpected downside (which wouldn't be a surprise to someone who has experience with bagless vacuums, but I don't) is that even though the segments are easy to open, it's almost impossible not to make an additional mess when emptying. The finer dust goes everywhere, including all over the top of the unit and in its little wheel wells, etc... and back into the air. I'm tempted to use my other vacuum to clean it up, just after a single use! So, this is not good for someone with allergies. It is great for someone whose floors are already pretty clean and it may indeed make a fabulous cat toy.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Smart but not overly endowed.
This Roomba is the no-frills version which we like. It does the job well and manages to find its way home which is just adorable. Easy to empty, fun for the pets to watch, just a good thing to have around the house. It can get stuck upstairs when I'm downstairs, so I listen out for that. Upstairs has rugs, downstairs does not. Push the button and leave the house. It was shut off if it sucks in something it shouldn’t.
I had my doubts about how well this vacuum would collect dust and dog hair from the carpet and hardwood floors. I am so impressed. I push the button and leave, running it while I am out of the house and I come back to beautiful vacuum marks all over the carpet and a two fists full of dog hard and dust. Great cleaning helpers.
This is my fourth Roomba and my second 614 model in six months. I am somewhat handicapped due to multiple back surgeries so these machines are a godsend. I have a large house and use them on all three floors and they do a very thorough cleaning job on both parquet and rugs. Easy to empty and clean unlike the much earlier models. Exactly what I wanted.
This Roomba is exactly what I wanted. A basic robot vacuum without wifi. I watched it the first few times I ran it, so I figured out what to move and what to leave. It does a good job navigating rugs, and I pick up small throw rugs. It's doing a great job on the cat and dog hair. I haven't figured out whether the filters are washable.
