CholestOff Plus - The natural and TOLERABLE way to lower cholestrol!
I am a 64 year old male with a high intolerance to pill forms of medications. Gel caps are much more tolerable without the usual pill binder. My doctor, who I've known since he was in med school, and has now been practicing 30+ years, often pulls out what little hair he has left when trying to prescribe meds for me that work, but won't cause too many side effects. Cholesterol meds have been no different. High dollar scripts, high-strength prescription fish oils - you name it. They either didn't work or had too many side effects. But my wife heard about "CholestOff Complete", a horse pill size of the gel caps, only with "extra" ingredients. They helped somewhat to bring down my numbers, but like most pill forms of meds, caused me digestive and pulmonary systems issues. Then we learned about these gel caps. I took the recommended dose of 4 per day at first. They brought down my numbers a little more, but more importantly they have ZERO side affects on me (they are simply plant sterols and stanols - all natural stuff). So I upped the dose to 6 per day (2, 3x per day). Still no side affects and my numbers were even better. After consulting my doctor, I upped the dosage to 8 pills per day (2 gel caps x 4 per day). Still no known side affects and ALL my numbers got better including triglycerides. Due to my personal results, my doc now recommends these to other people like me who can't tolerate scripts. I am not necessarily a religious person, but I think this is God's prescription for high cholesterol. You may have to take more than the bottle recommended dose of 4 per day to do much for high cholesterol (consult your doctor first), but if it works for this old "alien", it will work for most of you.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Side effects
I only took this product for 1 day. About 8 hours after taking pills, I began feeling as if I had an urinary tract infection (I've never had an UTI, so I'm basing that prognosis upon the symptoms of such). It burned to urinate and I experienced pain even when not urinating. I didn't take this product again and by the next evening, I was back to normal. This product is the only thing that was different about my daily regimen. Symptoms appeared and disappeared upon taking and discontinuing use of this product.
