Gamers engage in MMO shooting action in the chaotic, post-pandemic streets of New York City in Tom Clancy's The Division. It takes less than a week for basic services to crumble after an unknown terrorist group taints bank notes with smallpox on the busiest shopping day of the year, and various factions begin vying for control in the new power vacuum as food, water, and power grow scarce. Players act as a member of the Strategic Homeland Division, a classified group of self-sufficient tactical agents trained to stay in catastrophic situations and do whatever it takes to rebuild society.<br><br>Gamers carry a variety of weapons and explosives as they battle their way through the open, destructible environments, teaming up with other players and occasionally getting help from what's left of New York City's emergency responders and National Guard soldiers. Unfriendly factions include the chaos-loving Rioters, the former prison inmates known as the Rikers, flamethrower-toting sanitation workers called the Cleaners, and a mysterious paramilitary unit that calls itself the Last Man Battalion. As players battle these groups they will earn experience points and money to change their appearance and purchase upgraded gear and weapons. The separate PvP Dark Zone mode lets gamers find and control more powerful weapons the military left behind in a highly contaminated area, but other competitors can steal these weapons unless players load them onto a helicopter and get them out of the Dark Zone.<br><br>This Gold Edition includes the full game, a season pass, and an exclusive National Guard gear set.Product Identifiers

Has potential, but a little short
Interesting concept but no intro play or "training" Hard to figure out what goals are or even which button does what? Too much boring character running from one mission area to another. Graphics are good, but not up to par with other similar games. Enemies do have differing levels of "toughness" which is more realistic. Nice, realistic explosions and fires. This game takes patience. Fun looter-shooter
This is a fun little game that really wants to be an MMOG. If you're used to playing third-person shooters, you'll need to adjust your thinking just a bit. This is a looter shooter; there are tiers of gear and they affect your damage. You'll need to play a bit conservative until you build up your equipment and get used to the gameplay. As far as the storyline goes, it's a bit threadbare. It's more of an excuse to move from area to area. The voice acting and cut-scenes are decent, but not that compelling. You need to finish it before you can access the (limited) MMOG aspects. There is a 6 hour demo that you can try. You're limited to level 8. It's the full game and it saves your progress. If you buy the full game you can continue playing. If you buy an edition that includes any items (cosmetics, extra weapons, etc.) you need to finish the first area and then liberate and get to your base of operations in the main game. You'll be able to access your items from the second vendor on the left as soon as you enter the base.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
