      Perfect Replacement

      I initially purchased a replacement remote control from Amazon, but returned it because it failed to perform most of the necessary functions. It was cheap looking and was a knock-off item made in China. The remote control I purchased on Ebay works just like the original remote that came with my Sony Bravia TV. I didn't have to program the remote; it worked perfectly right out of the box. I'm very happy with this item and would buy it again.

      Battery compartment too short

      I had to force the batteries to place them in the battery compartment, as its length is almost insufficient to accomodate the batteries. As a result, there is pressure inside the remote and that makes the items very fragile. I accidentally dropped the remote on the floor from a minimal height (5 inch.) and the items broke inside, right by the battery compartment.

      Damaged The First Day

      This remote looks like the Sony remote and has the same model number, but does not have “SONY” label. On the first day the remote was dropped and the plastic bulkhead holding the batteries broke. I was able to super glue it together and install a gusset. Still working, but. The original Sony remote lasted for years with lots of abuse.

      Couldn't be happier. It worked without having to program it at all. I just put in batteries & it was like having a working original. It is *slightly* different in shape but all of the buttons are the same.
