    Good Camera; Costs too Much

    The camera is great and has some great features that other cameras don’t offer, such as facial recognition and zooming in when it sees a person, but these “extras” are only available with a Nest Aware subscription. Although the camera is of good quality, the price of the camera is too high.

    Best Nest Outdoor Camera

    Best Outdoor Camera from Google Nest. This camera is no longer produced and they are hard to find. The features included with this camera are superior to the newer, lower cost cameras available from Nest now. Durable, heavy and reliable. Very well made. Superior video quality with motion tracking capability.

    Excellent video quality but requires substantial internet bandwidth

    This is one of the best residential outdoor security camera available at present in my opinion based on limited usage so far. The automatic focus on detected person in the view is working really well & you can clearly identify them with the video quality even in zoomed state. The only challenge I see is the internet bandwidth needed (about 400GB/month for highest quality & 100GB less for each quality level down). Also, the highest quality level made my camera go offline but this can vary based on speed & signal strength of your internet connection. There is no option to use Ethernet, only WiFi. Overall happy with the purchase & will definitely recommend this.

    Excellent camera. Simple setup and installation.

    This is the first camera of this type that I've owned. Setup was very easy and installation was no problem. The quality of the image is great! I'm considering getting another one for the back of the house. I also purchased a silicone cover to make it blend better with the color of the house.
