Early Criterion Release of a great film
Great film, nice extras, transfer is OK- there is room for improvement here but that depends on the quality/ condition of source materials. I suspect it's the best they could do at the time (2001), but I'm sure it could be further cleaned up and sharpened using modern computer transfer techniques discovered since that time.
