    Replacement for 35 yr old block

    I am a 35 yr Henckel knife buyer and user. Old block only held 5 knives. Current collection numbers 12 knives, 1 steel, & pair of scissors. Recently acquired a 12" carving knife that wouldn't fit the old block, This block is the bee's knees. I can now display all my Henckels in one holder, no more knives in the drawer, swivel base makes for easy access. "note" max blade length is 10". 12" carving knife protrudes slightly(1") from bottom but no problem with swivel or counter interference. still safely in holder

    Needs some improvements, but is a well built product

    If you own more then 4 wide Zwilling knives, then the 8 slots on the right of the block need to be modified to accommodate them. I mention this because I ran into this dilemma. And if you own the Zwilling "PRO" 2 piece carving set, Zwilling did not put a slot in this block to accommodate the "Fork" or any other block I seen that they make. One more thing that could be added, they should have installed some form of locking device, so if one chooses they can keep the block from being able to Swivel. Other then the concerns I mentioned, and how much money that I have spent on this item and all the Zwilling Knives I own, a little more foresight should have been put into a better design. I do recommend this item!

    BEAUTIFUL PIECE OF KITCHEN WARE.

    Awesome knife block. Exactly what I was looking for. I have Cutco knives, but their knife block is super expensive. This one is perfect. Has LOTS of slots for all kinds and sizes of knives. It swivels and matches my kitchen. I couldn't be happier.

    Swivel Feature!

    I bought this for the abundance of slots and swivel ability. I am thrilled to be able to house all my knives, many which are odd shapes, sizes, and brands. It's probably too large for my little counter but I'm happy not to be searching through my drawers for specialty knives I didn't have room for before.
