This is a book about C by the originators of it. It is a concise book about a concise language, written before it was as widely used as today, but still recognizing it's benefits and its limits as those were by design. There are better books about learning C in today's environment, but I don't think there are better books about the insights and purpose that the language served in the early 70's.
