Item charges up relatively quick, The casing, clamps and wires appear rugged enough to provide many years of use, I definitely recommend this for anyone with a V6 or small V8 gas engine to carry in their car on trips, and whenever you anticipate your battery occasionally runs down from time to time, especially if you leave interior lights on for any prolonged period of time.
