on the advice of a barista....
I was told this was the best way of making coffee, for less than £400. I thought it was a joke... but for so little whats to lose? The coffee is superb and so easy to use. It takes as long as it takes to boil the water and is even easier to clean than filters. Beats pods and cheaper espresso machines for taste, and can make a cafeterre style or espresso style with a slight change of use ( look at You Tube for ideas) .......complete with crema really easily and takes seconds to clean afterwards. Why didn't I do this sooner? Best I've ever had
Simple to use, produces easily controlled brew. Best taste out of the coffee I have ever gotten. I can describe exactly why the cheap coffee is bad, and really enjoy the subtle notes of the expensive stuff. Can't taste the filter. Can control the strength by number of stirs and the amount of coffee - no problem with about 3 cups of experimentation for any particular coffe. Cleanup is nothing. Compress when brewing, unscrew the filter holder, push out the filter/coffee plug, rise while withdrawing the plunger. These days, this is the only thing I use for coffee
I had an Aeropress for 7 years, but the plunger had become kind of loose, so this is a replacement for my original Aeropress. This one seems just as good. It makes great coffee for one or two people and I never use anything else.
