<h2>Jaime Hernandez</h2><p>The 2007-P George Washington Dollar was the first dollar coin to be released in the Presidential Dollar program. The coins were officially released by the U.S. Mint on February 15, 2007.</p><div>To encourage the use of Presidential Dollar coins in our monetary system, the Mint introduced the Circulating $1 Coin Direct Ship Program. With this new program, customers were allowed to order boxes containing $250 worth of Presidential Dollar coins. The coins in the box came in rolls of $25 each and could be ordered for face value and without paying any postage fees.</div>
